Savour Life
You only feel free to enjoy yourself when you know everything is all right in your world. Anticipating the unexpected, and comprehensively preparing for it with passionate pursuit backed by advanced technologies, is the natural catalyst for peace of mind.
SRS Front Airbags
The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags are activated by a strong frontal impact in a collision. Their inflation force is appropriately controlled in response to the severity of the collision.
SRS Knee Airbags
Together with the effect of the seatbelts and SRS airbags, the SRS knee airbags on the front seats help assist occupant protection.
SRS Side Airbags
In a lateral collision, in addition to the large SRS side airbags on the front seats which help reduce the impact to the occupant's upper torse and abdominal and lumbar regions, the SRS curtain shield airbags which instantly cover the front and rear door window area on the side of the impact help reduce the impact to the occupants heads. The SRS side airbags on the outboard rear seats are also available as an option. The height of the driver's seat headrest is adjusted by interlocking with the seat slide. A button for manual adjustment is set on the shoulder of the seat.
Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM)
The GS 430's innovative VDIM (Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management) integrates operations of systems such as the TRC and ABS with EBD which normally operate independently. VDIM helps to optimise the driving performance of the vehcile's basic operations - accelerating, cornering and braking.
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
If the vehicle skids during a turn, VSC applies the appropriate brake individually and reduces engine power to help place you back on the right path
Traction Control System (TRC)
When a series of sensors detect a loss of traction, the system uses a combination of individual wheel braking, throttle activation and steering assistance to help the driver keep the vehicle on track.
Anti-Lock Brake System
On slippery surfaces, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you stay in directional control while braking.
EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution)
For extra control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) modulates the amount of fluid pressure to the brakes.
